Saturday 22nd November 2008 * (6.16m) Starts. Brs Azad, Kalam and Mamun in the studio. Apologies for no show last week. (Making excuses that it was beyond their control and a power failure or something.. )Topics introduced: - Interpal - First ten days of Dhul Hijjah - Food (Coz br Azad and Br Kalam just came back from a dawot where Br Azad ate 21 chops * (12.30m) FIRST time they pick on Br Mamun (Doughnar, Donar, Donner..) * (19m) Discussion - Lloyds TSB’s Clearing house has served noticed on Islamic Bank of Britain to cease dealings with Interpal charity. Why? No explanation given. Yes, Interpal is being investigated but a report on the charity is due to come out so why not wait for that? Why take this unjustifiable premature action? -Shows no respect for Muslim sentiments or Muslim charities. -We need to raise profile that this is happening. Go to the Lloyds TSB branches and ask them what’s going on. Continue emailing or writing to Lloyds. Contact your MP’s. * (25.30m) Br Kalam talking about an inspirational meeting with journalist Lauren Booth and ex Marines member - Kevin. They’ve travelled from Cyprus to Palestine to try and break the siege of Gaza and have now set up a non-profitable charity called Aloha. They want to take a boat of goods through this route into Palestine. - Lauren Booth was saying that the Interpal issue was only happening because we are Muslims. No one would close down non Muslim charity organisations on a whim. - Also influential Muslim people or leaders are not objecting. If for example, Saudi threatened to refuse to give oil, this would make a difference. - Then Br Kalam gets a bit ‘ranty’ about people defending the Saudi govt over another govt when they’re as bad as each other. * (31.10m) Daroon Nasheed – Al-Fara! (That Sr Sibghatullah found, jzks!) * (37m) More discussion on Interpal and Palestine. - More and more non Muslims starting to believe in the One Nation Palestinian cause. Muslims should be more active. * (38.15) Discussion - Food Etiquettes. 1. How to start eating – Say Bismillah. If you forget at the beginning, you should mention it when you remember. Not mentioning it means the shaytan is eating with you. 2. Manners of eating. Eat with the right hand. Feeding hand if using cutlery should be the right hand. Shaytan eats with his left hand. 3. You should eat from what’s nearest first. Wait patiently for the food that’s away from you. 4. You should never criticise food. If you don’t like it, don’t eat it. But don’t criticise it. 5. You should finish your plate. Don’t leave food for shaytan. Also don't leave food because you do not know what portion of the food has blessings on it. 6. Don’t eat too much. One third of your stomach should be for food, one third for water, one third for air. 7. After eating, remember to thank Allah. 8. Always remember that eating is a way of getting closer to Allah. We eat so we can have the energy and strength to worship Allah! * (46.50m) Discussion – On that crook, Farooq. Man pretended to provide a hajj service and ripped off loads of people who booked their journey with him. HUNT HIM DOWN (and take him to the police station in a totally law abiding way but of course.. )* (55m) If anyone wants to hear MAK go on about podcasts and podcast reviews, it’s around here.. (But I’d skip it to be honest, total waste of time )* (56.05m) Discussion – Azad Bhai has stalkers!! It all happened suddenly one dark eerie day. His blog titled ‘Defeating extremism by promoting balance’ was posted. It went out, it went far, it even reached the gutter! (Also known as the hateful horrid ‘Harry’s Place’). People there have been touched to the core! So irresistible did they find that one blog, that they couldn’t stop themselves, they decided to go through every other blog Azad Bhai has written! Now lost in adulation for Brother Azad, they are hanging onto his every word and memorising his every thought.. Like WOW!!! (On a more serious note, these nutcases should get a life and sort themselves out. I mean forget the rubbish they’ve been writing, the bigger concern is that they are making Azad bhai believe that he’s actually famous.. Oh dear.. * (1hr 5.30m) Br Kalam trys out the new word he’s learnt this week – ‘edgeways’. ![]() * (1hr 6m) SECOND time they pick on Br Mamun. ("Sit silently and keep the seat warm"). * (1hr 6.20m) Discussion – Pirates of the Arabian Sea. * (1hr 9.20) THIRD time they pick on Br Mamun. ("You saw a chocolate bar being nicked and you didn’t stop it from happening? How can you live with yourself?") *(1hr 11.18m) Daroon Chart – Number Three! * (1hr 15.45m) Br Talha vs Br MAK – More on Pirates, Shabab and Muslim countries. * (1hr 18.40m) FOURTH time they pick on Br Mamun. ("The people you see on the television? They’re not real brother." "Rambo’s not real?" )*(1hr 20.30m) Daroon Chart – Number Two! * (1hr 24.20m) Laughing at the way R is not pronounced and the FIFTH time they pick on br Mamun. Being racist, islamist AND bullyist, tut!! ![]() * (1hr 25m) Discussion - publication of the BNP List. * (1hr 37.40m) Discussion – Significance of the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah - The best ten days of the year. Br MAK reads out three amazing hadiths. What to do on these days: 1. Try and fast first 9 days of Dhul Hijjah. (Eid falls on the 10th). Especially fast on the 9th day - day of Arafat. 2. Make a lot of tahlil, takbir and tahmid. Glorifying and exalting Allah! 3. Performing Hajj / Umrah (those who are there). Inshallah it’s accepted. 4. Do qurbani /sacrificing. 5. Do as many good deeds as possible. 6. Seek repentance sincerely. You should try and make following dua on day of Arafat - La ila ha illallah wahdahu la sharikalahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu, yuhyi wa yumithu, wa huwa ‘ala qulli shayin qadeer. * (1hr 48.30m) Talking about the upcoming daroooon charity dinner! *(1hr 49.35m) Daroon Chart – NUMBER ONE!!! * (1hr 56.10m) Round Up (and a shout out from a listener in the USA)! (1hr 59.10m)“The seeker of Allah and the hereafter should be brave, bold, in control of his whims and not under the control of his imagination. He should be bold in his aspiration, firm in his resolve and not swayed from his goal by the blame of the blamers or the discouragement of the discouragers. He should generally be tranquil, constantly in thought, and not be moved by the sweetness of a compliment or the pain of criticism. His slogan should be patience, and his rest should be his fatigue, and he should love to have the best manners.” -Ibn al Qayyim-
